Can I cancel my booking?
No Visa No Pay
If your place at the University is withdrawn, because of your VISA rejection you are permitted to cancel your booking with a copy of the relevant VISA rejection correspondence AND a written rejection notice from your University. Novel Student must be notified of your request to cancel within 7 days from the date you receive your relevant VISA rejection correspondence.
No Place No Pay
If the Tenant is a prospective first year undergraduate student and the Tenant’s offer of a place at the University is withdrawn for one of the following reasons: If your university offer is withdrawn due to: Not receiving the required entry grades or, You have exceeded your expected grades and chosen to study in another city as a result Then you may cancel your booking with a) copy of a written rejection letter from your university or b) proof of acceptance of your new University by UCAS adjustment. Novel Student must be notified of your request to cancel within 7 days from your results being published.
COVID - 19 Supplementary Cancellation Conditions
4. COVID-19 Cancellation Policy 4.1. In addition to any cancellation rights listed in clause 2 of this Booking, the Tenant may cancel this Booking or modify terms of the Booking (and the Tenancy, if completed): 4.1.1. if the Tenant lives in a country that has government-imposed travel restrictions in place by either the home country or the United Kingdom and/or local government that prevent the Tenant from traveling or arriving to the Property to taking possession of the Unit. If the restrictions are for an indeterminate amount of time, the Tenant may cancel the Booking (and the Tenancy, if completed). If the restrictions have a published ending date, the Tenant may post-pone the Move-In Date up to the published ending date. In respect of clause 4.1.1, the Tenant must provide written notice to the Landlord of their desire to cancel or modify the Move-In Date no later than 7 days prior to the Move-In Date and must show evidence of the government-imposed restrictions. 4.1.2. if the Tenant’s University and programme of study delays full-time or part-time face-to-face teaching programmes, the Tenant may postpone the Move-In Date until face-to-face teaching commences, either full-time or part-time. This clause applies only if no face-to-face teaching occurs. In respect of clause 4.2.1, the Tenant must provide written notice to the Landlord of their desire to modify the Move-In Date no later than 7 days prior to the Move-In Date and must show evidence of lack of face-to-face teaching for their specific courses of study for the term in question. 4.1.3. if the Tenant’s University cancels the study programme and course, the Tenant may cancel the Booking (and the Tenancy, if completed). In respect of clause 4.1.3, the Tenant must provide written notice to the Landlord of their desire to cancel the Booking (and the Tenancy, if completed) no later than 7 days prior to the Move-In Date and must show evidence of the cancellation of the study programme and course on official correspondence to the Tenant from the University. 4.2. All aspects of this COVID-19 Cancellation Policy apply only until the Tenancy is granted at Move-In. After this occurs, the Tenancy governs any rights to termination from both parties. 4.3. If the Booking is cancelled during this period for any reason listed in clause 4, the Landlord will not charge the Tenant any sums due under the Tenancy Agreement and any Holding Deposit, Deposit, or advance of the Total Rent paid to the Landlord will be returned to the Tenant. If the Tenancy’s Move-In Date is postponed or otherwise adjusted, any portion of the Total Rent will not be charged for the pro-rata share of days it is postponed, and any amounts paid by the Tenant will be credited to the Tenant’s account.
