No Visa No Pay

If you are an International Student and you do not get your Visa, you may cancel your Resident Agreement within 5 days of receiving notification from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP).

No Place No Pay

If you are a domestic first year student applying through UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC and you do not get accepted at the University you may cancel your Residential Agreement within 5 days of the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC Main Round offers release date (generally around late January – refer to the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC website for actual dates).

Travel Restrictions

If you are an International Student that has not yet travelled to Australia and you are not able to enter the country due to Government travel restrictions in relation to COVID-19, you may cancel your Residential Agreement up to 14 days prior to the agreement start date.

Classes moved to online only

If your course has moved to online-only teaching, you may cancel your Residential Agreement up to 14 days prior to the agreement start date. This policy does not apply if you have the option to take your course on campus but elect to take it online only.

Your campus is closed due to COVID-19 If your course does not resume teaching on campus, you may cancel your Residential Agreement up to 14 days prior to the agreement start date.

Full Cancellation Policy

If you are an International Student, who wishes to apply for Semester 1, 2021 accommodation, but are unable to enter Australia due to Government Travel Restrictions, in relation to COVID-19, or a Domestic Student who is unable to attend University due to campus closures we have developed this flexible booking option for you. Who is eligible? • Any International Student who has applied at their nominated University, and is awaiting approval to travel to Australia. • Any Domestic Student who has applied at their nominated University, and is awaiting confirmation that their courses will resume on campus. What if I am subject to Government Restrictions Once you have secured your accommodation and entered into a Semester 1, 2021 Residential Agreement you will be eligible for this support option. • Provide to us in writing the supporting official evidence stating that you are subject to Government Travel Restrictions relating to COVID-19 at a minimum of 14 days prior to the Residential Agreement contract start date OR • Provide to us in writing the supporting official evidence stating that your course will be delivered online. • If you comply with these steps you will be refunded your Security Deposit, and Cleaning Fee(where applicable). Please note the Application Fee and Registration Fee (if applicable)are non-refundable. • If the written notice is sent less than 14 days before the commencement of your Residential Agreement-normal Early Termination policies apply. Where will the Flexible Booking policy not apply? The policy will not apply where you have accepted a University Offer but you elect to defer or withdraw from your studies.
